Vera Mera VA

THE EPITOMY OF FINE BREEDING WITH ABILITY AND LOOKS TO MATCH

5 year old, 16.2hh, Liver Chestnut Holsteiner mare by COLMAN.  Currently competing in 1.30m jumper classes and NZ 6 year old Series Classes with success.

  • “Vera” was imported to New Zealand in November 2010 from Holstein in Germany where she had limited competition experience up to 1.10m.
  • By the stunning stallion Colman and out of a Contender mare, Vera is the result of very careful and precise bloodline planning by one of the best breeders in Holstein (Manfred Von Allwoerden).
  • Her popular sire is rated as one of the “shooting stars among all Holstein stallions “ (see these links Colman and Colman - video for more details and footage).  Vera’s full breeding details are below.
  • Vera displays the same movement, athleticism and jumping ability as her famous sire – making her an extremely exciting prospect for the future as both a breeding mare and top level showjumper.
  • Since arriving in NZ, Vera has competed successfully in 1.25m classes and the NZ 6 Year Old Series Classes (up to 1.30m).  She often attracts an audience while in the competition ring for her lovely technique and looks.
  • Easy to ride and show – ridden and competed by professional male rider and young amateur lady rider.
  • Consistently ridden in company (hacking down busy roads and schooling in arenas) or by herself.
  • Vera Mera VA has only just begun to show her ability as a jumper and NZ Horses.com is very excited about her future.
